【Singer】 MISAKI

MISAKI is a female singer on niconico who is not widely known at all, but those who know her like her so much they made a fan community for her. Her most Mylisted work was ラ・ピュセル (La Pucelle) at 151 Mylists. MISAKI likes the Sangoku Musou/Dynasty Warriors games and knee socks, her favourite season is autumn, her favourite colours are pink and red, and kind of considers herself as a romanticist.

Her voice is one of those mature and strong voices similar to MEIKO or Luka. She’s also capable of emulating a male voice fairly well, and can also sing in an incredibly low voice as is apparent by her rendition of Kimikage, which is a pretty big feat. In addition to being able to hit low notes, she can also hit very high notes correctly and without difficulty, plus she can hold them quite well without wavering. MISAKI is still continually improving her already quite skilled technique, and has gone a very very long way from her first songs.

Essential Works:
1. Out of lies (niconico link) **Highly Recommended**
2. one more kiss (niconico link)
3. 君影 (Kimikage/Your Shadow) (niconico link)

【Illustrator】 VOFAN

Original illustration given to circles who are retiring from ComiComi

VOFAN is a professional illustrator from Taiwan who is best known for his character designs and illustrations for the Bakemonogatari light novel. Although he is an illustrator, right now he wishes to become a professional photographer. VOFAN is about 29 years old, likes OKAMA’s works, and used to like drawing mechs before he saw Doukyuusei 2‘s artwork and started drawing girls. He knows Mandarin and English, and has reading knowledge of Japanese.

VOFAN’s style is immediately recognizable because of his unique colouring. He uses mostly pastel colours with barely any outlines at all, and uses only different shades of a colour to denote depth and different objects. He is also known for his soft and natural lighting in his pictures, and his compositions are a little akin to photographs, with clean cropping, lots of background, and interesting perspectives.

【Manga】妄想少女オタク系 / Fujoshi Rumi

Haven’t read manga in a while, but I’m really glad I read this one..! Absolute classic!

Original Title: 妄想少女オタク系 (Geeky Girl Obsession)
English Title: Fujoshi Rumi
Author: 紺條夏生 (KONJOU Natsumi)
Volumes: 5+
Genre: Seinen
Status: Ongoing, licensed in North America by Media Blasters
My Rating: 8.8/10

Asai Rumi is a fujoshi who likes to pair her male classmates up together, and her favourite pair in her class is Takahiro Abe and Chiba Shunsuke. However, things happen and the two guys start liking Rumi, even though Rumi doesn’t want them to like her since she wants them to like each other..! Hilarity ensues.

The manga is drawn and authored by Konjou Natsumi, and she said that the idea for basing a series about a fujoshi comes from being inspired by a friend of her’s. As will be apparent by the manga, Konjou has a really deep understanding of the fujoshi mind, and in her manga likes to throw in references to everything otaku-related, which is extremely awesome. As well, the artwork for this series is decent and nice, but the characters and their personalities are the main attraction. My favourite character is probably Matsun because she is really evil and funny (her face is pretty too).

Even though this is a seinen manga that seems extremely shoujo-like at times, I would recommend it to everyone over the age of 16 (because of innuendos and dirty-like concepts) regardless of gender because this manga is really funny. At least finish reading volume 1 before you drop it for whatever invalid reason(s)!

There is also a live action movie and two drama CDs (with Fujita Saki as Rumi!!) based on this work.
